Six valleys and the water between them
Our working area runs from the tidal flats at the edge of the Salish Sea up to the benches where the creeks are still cold in August. We do not work everywhere, and that is deliberate.

Why these and not others
We work across the Chuckanut foothills, the Nooksack valley, the Lake Whatcom watershed, the Samish flats, the South Fork corridor and the coastal estuaries of northwest Washington.
A small organisation that works everywhere works nowhere. We drew our boundary around the water that reaches Bellingham Bay and the Samish, because that is the ground we can reach on a weekday morning and still be back for an afternoon meeting.
If you are outside it, write anyway. There is almost always another land trust or a conservation district nearer to you, and we would rather hand you a name than a form.
